How To Install Wordpress Offline

mmmm… I’m sure a lot of peole alredy know how to do this thing.. =)

There are also a bunch of this explanation in the internet anyway..

Just search with "google", then you'll find it~

But well I will explain this for them who do not know this yet..

Huff.. the xampp configuration did confuse me when I first tried this =_=

Sorry if my explanation isn’t clear enough

Well let’s start with “What is wordpress offline?”. It basically same as online wordpress. But you do not need internet connection. You can make the wordpress offline become online later on if you want. WordPress offline is really nice for editing theme and doing experiment.

Okay, first you have to download the wordpress online. You can get it in opensource. The, get the xampp installed in your computer. Xampp is a program that will have you to have localhost.

You can use other program too if you want. But, I choose xampp because it is easier to use.

How to start your wordpress offline :

1. Make sure xampp already installed in your computer. Go to directory where you installed Xampp. Activate the Apache_start and Mysql_start

Note : If you want to make them stop running, do not just close the windows. Use the apache_stop and mysql_stop

2.Open your browser. Type localhost at your address bar, then you will enter xampp panel. Clik Phpmyadmin to make a database. On the form Create Data Base fill the form with the name of your data base. It can be any name~ Then click Create

3. Okay, It is time to install your wordpress then. XD

Put your wordpress offline folder in htdocs folder in your xampp directory Ex: C:/xampp/htdocs

You can rename your wordpress folder as you like. Ex : game

4. Open again your browser. Type localhost\your folder name Ex : localhost/game

Click create a configuration file, then Lets go

Fill the form with :

Database name : Fill this with the name of data base you already make before

Username : Root

Password : Just let it blank

Database host : localhost

Table Prefik : You don’t have to change it

Click Submit

5. Click “Run The Install” in next page.

Fill form with :

Blog tittle : Of course fill this with the name of your blog

Your e-mail : Fill this with your e-mail duh..

Click Install Worpress

6.After this there will be a Succeed page. In this page there will be your username and temporary password. Save your temporary password then login to your wordpress. Then change your password at Users—> My Profile

Your offline WordPress has finished~

Note : Never rename or move your wordpress folder at htdocs after you install it. If you do.. well your wordpress WILL NOT BE ABLE TO OPEN.

It happen to me in my first tried. Lucky I still remembered the folder’s name before I rename it. If I didn’t my mark will be ummmm… not nice I quest *sweatdrop*
